Welcome to Manvers Waterfront Boat Club
We are a multi-sport club that specialises in paddlesports we are based at Manvers Lake at Wath Upon Dearne, Near Rotherham, in South Yorkshire. We work in partnership with Canoe England and share the use of a new and purpose built Boathouse.
Our Boathouse is now finished we have some finishing touches to make to the building and how we operate it . The kitchen/cafe is not yet up and running, but hopefully will be soon. The Boat House has a boat/equipment storage area, changing rooms, and showers including disabled facilities, first aid room, two meeting rooms, one dry, one wet, a managers office and a kitchen/cafe.
The lake forms part of the redevelopment of the Manvers area in to a mixed use, recreation, commercial, housing and leisure area.

The Boat House is heated sustainably using water from the lake via heat pumps recovery systems in order to minimise both its carbon footprint and running costs. It is intended to use this experience to both future installers and as an example for other planned club houses.
